On September 5, 2023, the second meeting of the Scientific Council of the Regional Center for Remote Sensing for North African Countries took place through audiovisual means. The meeting was attended by several representatives from member countries and partner members from North Africa and the Middle East. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Abdullah Jad Abdullah, the representative of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Representatives from Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Yemen, and Lebanon were present, while some others were absent with excuses.
During this meeting, various agenda items were discussed, including the center’s activities during the third quarter of the year, training courses, and workshops to be implemented. Additionally, discussions covered collaboration with the ITC Institute in the Netherlands and the presentation of a memorandum for the launch of the fourth conference on digital spatial geography, TeanGeo2024, among other matters
