The regional training workshop on ‘Open Source Applications in Land Management and Tenure Security’ began on the morning of December 12, 2023. The workshop is organized by the Regional Center for Remote Sensing for North African Countries in collaboration with the Sustainability Center in Sudan. It will continue for three days and has attracted the participation of (24) researchers and specialists from Tunisia, Libya, and Sudan.
The workshop covers both theoretical and practical training on various topics, including:
- The importance of automating spatial information for secure land tenure.
- Different types of software used in spatial information.
- QGIS software and its applications.
