Tunis, April 23, 2025 – The 32nd Session of the Governing Board of the Regional Center for Remote Sensing of North Africa States (CRTEAN) concluded today, Wednesday, after three days of intensive work with broad participation from regional countries and several partner nations.
Working Sessions
The session commenced on Monday, April 21, with the attendance of representatives from the seven member states (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Sudan, and Tunisia), in addition to participation from Middle Eastern and sub-Saharan countries via audiovisual communication means. The first day featured in-depth discussions within the framework of the Center’s Scientific Council, which brings together a select group of specialized experts.
Key Outcomes
During the meetings, participants:
- Discussed the Center’s annual scientific report
- Evaluated ways to enhance cooperation among member states
- Adopted a set of strategic recommendations in the following areas:
- Advancing the use of remote sensing technologies
- Promoting technology transfer
- Building national capacities
