The training course on Fit-for-Purpose Land Administration in the Arab region: ‘Building Capacities and Implementing Fit-for-Purpose Land Management Tools.

on December 6, 2023, the regional session on ‘Application of Fit-For-Purpose Land Administration in the Arab Region – Capacity Building and Implementation of Fit-For-Purpose Land Management Tools in the Arab Region’ commenced at the Golden Tulip El Mechtel Hotel in the capital, Tunis. The event is organized by the Regional Center for Remote Sensing for North African Countries (CRTEAN) in collaboration with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), Twente Institute (ITC), and the Dutch Cadastre Agency (Kadaster). The session is scheduled to take place from December 6 to 8, 2023, and is attended by more than 25 specialists from nine Arab countries (Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Mauritania, and Sudan), along with experts from the Netherlands (ITC, Kadaster, and Trimblecomp – UT). The opening ceremony featured speeches from Dr. El Hadi Kachout, the General Director of CRTEAN, Mr. Luc Groot representing Kadaster, and Mr. Dimo Todorovski representing ITC.
