Today, Monday, February 19, 2024, witnessed the opening of the 31st session of the Regional Board of the Remote Sensing Center for North African States under the supervision and hosting of the Minister of National Defense of the Tunisian Government. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Tunisian Minister of National Defense, the Chairman of the Regional Center’s Board, the President of the Scientific Council of the Center, as well as ambassadors from Egypt, Sudan, Palestine, Syria, Yemen, and Chargés d’Affaires for Libya, Morocco, and Mauritania. Also present were the First Deputy Speaker of the Tunisian Parliament, the Head of the Arab League Office in Tunisia, and representatives of the member countries’ boards of directors and scientific councils from both North African and Middle Eastern countries. Speeches were delivered by Dr. El Hadi Gashut, the General Director of the Regional Center, Dr. Abdullah Jad, the President of the Scientific Council, and the opening remarks were given by Brigadier Mohamed Ali Al-Amri, the representative of the Minister of Defense and the Chairman of the Regional Center’s Board.
Following this, the Scientific Council convened its regular sessions preceding the Board of Directors, discussing various scientific data related to the training and qualification plan, as well as scientific projects to be approved by the Board of Directors during this session.
