Today, December 6, 2023, at the Golden Tulip El Mechtel Hotel in Tunis, the work of the regional session on (Implementing fit-for-purpose land management in the Arab region – capacity building and applying fit-for-purpose land management tools in the Arab region) organized by the Regional Center for Remote Sensing for North African Countries began today, December 6, 2023. (CRTEAN) with the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat), the Twentey Institute (ITC), and the Survey Authority of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Kadaster, during the period from 06 to 08 December 2023, attended by more than (25) specialists from nine Arab countries (Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Mauritania, and Sudan (in addition to experts from the Netherlands, ITC, Kadaster and Trimble comp – UT). Speeches were delivered at the opening of this workshop by Dr. El Hadi Qashout, General Director of CRTEAN, Mr. Luc Groot, representative of Kadaster, and Mr. Dimo Todorovski, ITC representative. This course will last for three continuous days, with the theoretical program interspersed with a specially prepared practical program.
