The scientific events which fall in the Work areas of the Regional Center Divided to the activities carried out by the center recently, activities to be set up soon and a list of international activities are as follows:

- Workshop on "advanced management of spatial data By Oracle" Tunisia 18 -21/08/2013
- Workshop on axes project "Use of remote sensing techniques to improve the disposition of optimization of water resources" Tunisia 25-27/11/2013
- Workshop on “Geomatics for Ecosystem based Adaptation in the Dry Areas of North Africa” Djerba Island, Tunisia: 22-24 June 2014
- Advanced specialized training in the use of hyper spectral images in collaboration with the National Centre for Mapping and Remote Sensing in Tunis 20-22/10/2014
Scientific Events Center, which intends to set up soon
The Scientific Council members agreed during their meeting for the year 2014 on the establishment in the near future of several scientific activities as follows:
- An international conference on the use of space technologies in the field of sustainable development organized by the Regional Center with Arab organizations and international bodies.
- Advanced specialized training in the use of space-based data and high-resolution radar images in the field of sustainable development organized by the Regional Center in cooperation with the General Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, Egypt.
- The use of space technology and systems upstream in the field of environmental pollution will be organized by the Regional Center in collaboration with the Libyan Center for Remote Sensing and Survey Authority of Libya.
- A scientific symposium on setting profile and anthropomorphic Datum for the region States will be organized by the Regional Center in collaboration with the Geological Survey of Sudan.
- A scientific symposium on the use of remote sensing techniques in the detection of mineral resources will be organized by the Regional Center in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrial Development and Mining and Scientific Centre at Mohammed V University.
- Mineral Resources Conference XIII which carried out by the Arab Organization for Industrial
Development and Mining with the involvement of Regional Center and other Arab institutions.
It also intends that the Regional Center in collaboration with the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils during the year 2015 will set up a workshop on water harvesting.
